Welcome! I am a very busy mom of three young children and a science teacher in North Kingstown, RI. I grew up as a competitive figure skater and coach, training in Moves in the Field and Ice Dancing, which focus on POWER, SPEED, EDGE QUALITY, and CONTROL. I achieved my Senior MIF Test and Gold Ice Dance test, the highest levels in US Figure Skating. Competing on a Synchronized Skating team took me all over the US, Canada, and Europe, where I helped my team win National and International Championships. Once I stopped competing, I focused on coaching and have experience training top athletes and national competitors in US Figure Skating both on and off the ice.
I stepped away from the ice in 2010 to dedicate more time to my family and teaching career. I got my oldest son involved in hockey in 2017, which allowed me to return to the ice, and I soon began coaching for the Providence Capitals Hockey Club as a Power Skating Coach in their Blue-Chip Selects Camps, as well as being the lead skating instructor in their LTS/LTP program. I was also the head skating coach during skills for the Fed Future hockey teams.
Recognizing a need for quality instruction in technical skating, I branched out and started taking on private students again. The high demand for proper education in power skating led me to develop my elite skating academy, which quickly attracted players from all over RI and MA. My Academy has collaborated with the Northern RI Vikings Hockey Club and the Burrillville Broncos Hockey Club. In 2023, the Vikings hired me as the Director of their Power Skating and Hockey Skills Program to provide additional instruction and opportunities for their players to enhance their skills in power skating. Since 2024, I have been working with the Broncos as their lead power skating instructor, educating both players and coaches on the fundamentals of power skating.
Skating has kept me grounded my entire life. I have poured my heart and soul into building this elite skating academy. My innovative program teaches players the foundation of technical skating, allowing them to improve their game performance! Over the years, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with a wonderful hockey community filled with passionate coaches, hard-working players, and dedicated families.
